Ira Bruce

Born March 15, 1952 in Orange, TX, he lived most of his life in Vinton and Westlake. Ira was an avid fisherman and hunter; he was a member of the Westlake Masonic Lodge and a member of the Bayou Bee Club where he was a bee keeper. He worked for Center Point Entergy Entex. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son-in-law, brother-in-law and friend who will be greatly missed.

Survived by his wife; Patti Moss Bruce, one son; Jesse Bruce and fiancée Rebecca Robison of Westlake, LA , one sister; Loretta Royer and husband Julian, one granddaughter; Camryn Bruce and one niece; Sherry Royer Robertson and husband Ronnie, and father-in-law; Marvin Moss, along with numerous friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; Jesse and Della Landry Bruce and nephew; Gregg Royer.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 9:00am until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake. Funeral Service will be Tuesday 2:00pm at the Funeral Home with Oliver McGuire officiating with a Burial to follow at Sallier Cemetery.
