Juanita Lee (Spell) McCray

She was a resident of Westlake for 27 years. She was a member of the Methodist Faith. She lived in Bellflower, CA for approximately 35 years. She was a member of the SWLA Mardi Gras Board, Krewe de Charlie Sioux from Sioux City, Iowa, a member of the 12th night Revelers, Krewe de Original and the Model A Car Club. She was also the coordinator at the 5th Street Calcasieu Council on Aging.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ann Reynolds of Kingwood, TX, Mardeen Spell of Rayne, LA, Misty Marie McCray of Westlake, LA, Kelly Kathleen McCray of San Hosea, CA; brother, Clifton Spell of Westlake, LA; grandchildren, April Dawn Namink, Krystal Clark, Lauren Reynolds and 1 great grandchild, Brendon Namink. She is preceded in death by her father, Clifford Spell and mother, Idell Foreman; husband, Harlan McCray; sons, Patrick O’Riely McCray and Michael Clancey McCray and brother, James C. Spell.

Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2010 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Pastor Richard Watson will officiate. Burial will be in Indian Bayou Cemetery.
