

He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service. He received the Medal of Honor for saving 2 children from drowning. He also taught special electronics in A.F.T.A.C., in the Air Force. He flew parallel missions with the Apollo space missions. He was a wonderful husband, as well as a wonderful father to five daughters.
He is survived by his wife, Alice F. DeVille of Westlake, LA; daughters, Sharon F. Carter and husband, Bill, of Harker Heights, TX; Peggy L. Henderson and husband, John, of Granbury, TX; Lisa G. Young and husband, Mike, of Grand Lake, LA; Katy Bradley and husband, Scott, of Mt. Juliet, TN; 16 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, one brother-in-law, three sisters-in-law and his beloved pet, “Peanut.” He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susanna LeFever, granddaughter, Shelby Susanne, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Westlake. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Westlake. Burial will be in Niblett's Bluff Cemetery.
