

He was a native and lifelong resident of Westlake LA. Phillip was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. He dearly loved his family, children and nieces and nephews. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and scary movies. He loved making people laugh and was always the life of the party. Phillip was famous for his caramel pie.
Survivors include his wife, Jerica Camel; sons, Cohen and William Camel; daughter, Alyssa Camel; his mother, Dianna Camel; brothers, Eric Camel, Jr and wife Angela, Michael Camel, Sr. and wife Tanya, Daniel Camel and fiancé Rochelle, Adam Camel, Sr. and wife Anne. He was preceded in death by his father, Eric Camel, Sr. and his brother, Christopher Camel and a nephew Adam Camel Jr.
Visitation will be from 4pm-8pm with a rosary at 6pm on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake and will resume on Friday at 9am at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at 11am on Friday at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Westlake Memorial Cemetery.
