

He was born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to the parents of Willis and Ollie Hollingsworth and resided in Westlake and Sulphur until his passing. He was a veteran of the United States Naval Reserve. He retired from Conoco after 28 years. He was owner of Westlake Farm and Garden. He was also the owner of R & R Auto Sales in the Lake Charles area. He was an ACTS Brother and an active member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. He was a wonderful brother, husband, father, grandfather, great -grandfather and friend.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Gwen Hollingsworth of Sulphur; four daughters, Donna and husband, Snubbie Reeves of Gillis, Teresa and husband, Bill McBride of Sulphur, Mary and husband, Bobby Cholley of Sulphur, Pam and husband, Tommy Benoit of Sulphur; three sons, Boyce (Bub) and wife, Charlotte Hollingsworth of Sulphur, John and wife, Belinda Hollingsworth of Sulphur, Rory and wife, Tiffany Hollingsworth of DeQuincy; one sister, Wilma Hollingsworth Dykes of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; two sister-in-laws, Pat and husband, Jess Gillard of Newton, Texas, Jeanette and husband, Dennis Mitterlehner of Brenham, Texas; 24 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Aaron Golden and Kenzie Golden-Roden; son-in-law Todd Juranka and brother-in-law Charles Dykes.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, in St. John Bosco Catholic Church of Westlake. The Father Michael Barras will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. ,an ACTS Rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home, visitation will continue from 8 - 9:30 am at the funeral home until time of service at the church.
