She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was known for her fervent prayer life and love for Jesus. You could always find her encouraging someone by sharing scriptures, songs, wise counsel and lots of laughter. She could be found, especially in her earlier years, singing with the love of her life and husband of 54 years, Larry Wade Bushnell. They would sing as a duo and also as a trio with her sister and best friend, Wanda Faye Ledoux Thompson. They could be found singing in church services, small groups and family gatherings.
Her love for her family and people was irreplaceable. The doors of her home were always open and she took the best of care of the people around her. She was a prayer warrior, and if you asked her to pray for you, you could know for sure that she would be. She was known for her powerful strength and unwavering faith in God. She was proud to be a member of First Pentecostal Church of Westlake and loved her church family dearly.
