Theresa Ann Hinton Legendre

Theresa lived in Lake Charles her entire life and she attended First Pentecostal Church of Westlake with her daughter when she was able. Bingo was one of her favorite hobbies but cooking was her real passion. She was an avid garage sale shopper always on the hunt for a great deal. Theresa was a friend to all and a stranger to none. She was always willing to lend her time and energy to friends and family.

She is survived by the father of her daughters, Clifton Legendre; daughters, Chassity Hinton of Moss Bluff, Lisa Lantia and husband Joseph of Westlake, and Sarah Legendre of Lake Charles; brothers, Arnold Hinton and Gail of Lake Charles and Dean Hinton of Moss Bluff; sister, Michelle Wiggins of Moss Bluff; and grandchildren, Emily Hinton and Noah Lantia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arsene “Buddy” Hinton and Violet Hinton; stepmother, Joy Hinton; sister-in-law, Linda Hinton; niece, Dallas Hinton; and Romey Legendre.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013 at First Pentecostal Church of Westlake. Bro. Mark R. Stanton will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Old Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake and will resume at 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the church.
