Wilda was a life long resident of Westlake where she was a parishioner of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. She was an A.C.T.S and Cursillo Sister. Wilda absolutely loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was their #1 fan when they played baseball. She would always be heard yelling at the baseball field cheering them on.
Those left to cherish her memory are, Butch Brown; sons, Chad Brown of Westlake and Chance Brown and wife Tina of Sulphur; grandchildren, Emily Hollier and husband, Adrian of Moss Bluff and Jake Brown of Sulphur; great grandchildren, Thomas and Isabelle Hollier, niece, Candace Deshotel and great niece, Hayleigh Deshotel and her children, Brady and Baker Simmons.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Cade Brown; and sister, Glenda Dyson.
Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. with a Cursillo Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will reopen on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. until the procession leaves for the church at 9:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Burial will be immediately following in Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake.
