Patrick J. Kelley
9 December, 1930 – 16 November, 2019
Patrick Kelley died peacefully at O’Neill Healthcare in Bay Village, Ohio on November 16, 2019 at the age of 88 following a brief illness.
His parents, James and Mary, and his four sisters: Rosemary, Rita, Ruth, and Rae preceded him in death. He leaves behind a multitude of nieces and nephews and several good friends who will miss him dearly.
Pat had a strong love of his country, and served as a medic during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. Pat then transferred to the Army Reserve until 1957 when he was honorably discharged with the rank of Private First Class.
Pat enjoyed his position at Cleveland Hardware and Forging Company, where he worked for thirty years as an assembler and machinist. He was proud of the company and was saddened when he recently learned that they are closing.
After retirement, Pat’s friends and hobbies filled his time. He loved all animals and became a prominent benefactor to the Animal Protective League. Attending Cleveland Indians baseball games was a major highlight every year, providing him with many hours of enjoyment. Pat was also an avid auto enthusiast and often went to car shows to admire classic cars.
A brief service will be held on Wednesday, November 20th at 10:00 at the Holick Craciun Funeral Home in Westlake. The family would like to thank all friends and caregivers for their care and condolences.
