Pete Santalucia

Peter Santalucia Jr., age 90, of Highland Heights, OH, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2018. He was born April 25, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio to Peter and Mercy (Locastro) Santalucia. Pete was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was very devoted to his family, and had a way of making everyone feel special. Pete graduated from John Adams high school, and he proudly served in the Navy in the Korean war. Pete was a co-owner of the Minotti wine shop chain, and loved interacting with his customers at the Lorain, OH store. Hehad many hobbies, including racquetball, pinochle, and sharing a glass of wine with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by so many. Pete is survived by his three daughters, Susan (Mike) Lightle, Carol Santalucia, and Anna (T. William) Jones, and six grandchildren Christopher (Sara Vukson) Lightle, Mary Ann (Terrance Haas) Betsch, Nicholas (Lindsay Armstrong) Santalucia, John (Rebecca) Lightle, Sarah (Andy Upton) Jones, and Evan Jones (fiancé Rachel Crane), and great grandchildren Kalila, Joseph, Vincent, Hazel, Sophia, Dwight, and Jote. He is also survived by his dear friend, Myra DeAmiches. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years ,Carmella (Congeni) Santalucia, his sister and brother in law, Ann and John Minotti, and his great grandson, Cedi Santalucia. Funeral Mass will take place at 10 AM on Monday August 6, 2018 at St. Brendan Church, 4242 Brendan Lane, North Olmsted, OH. The family will receive at HOLICK CRACIUN FUNERAL HOME, 23040 Center Ridge Rd. Westlake, OH on Sunday August 5, 2018 from 3-7 PM. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. The family suggests Memorial Contributions be made to the Carmella Rose Health Foundation or Hospice of the Western Reserve.
