Alfredo used to swing by the studio in Rome, he loved hanging out and making music with pro tools, he brought great energy whenever I met him, we cranked the volume up and exchanged knowledge. 
He was kind hearted, funny and full of enthusiasm! I will never forget this fella, he didn’t deserve to leave this world so young. 
May Allah be pleased with him.

Today I woke up
trying to figure out what to wear to your funeral.
A thought I never imagined
would cross my mind.
And it’s funny
not in the kind of way that makes you laugh,
but in the way that makes your chest cave in
because I don’t have anything at all
to wear to a funeral. 
So I stand there,
staring into a closet
that suddenly feels useless,
thinking about what stupid item of clothing
I should wear
to see you one last time.
As if anything I put on
could prepare me
for the weight of losing you.
But it hasn’t been silence
since you’ve left.
It’s been voices
so many of them
wrapped in love,
woven with stories
and tears
and laughter that hurts in the best way.
It’s been people
coming together,
arms around shoulders,
hearts cracked open,
trying to honor the kind of person
who leaves this much light behind.
Still, no outfit could ever be enough
for a goodbye like this.
No black dress, no pressed shirt
could say what I never got to.
So maybe I’ll just wear
whatever I have,
and carry the rest of it
in my hands
the ache, the gratitude,
the pieces of you
that still live
somewhere inside me.

I’m so sorry for your loss. While I didn’t have the privilege of knowing Alfredo personally, it’s clear how deeply he was loved and what a meaningful impact he had on those around him. Fredo, I love you so much my brother. My Day 1, we have been through so much together and I had some of the best times of my life with you. 

When I first came to America and met you, you came from Italy and we bonded right away. You showed me love and had my back without hesitation. And I knew I had a brother in you for life. 

I wish so badly that things were different, I can’t help but think about what I could have done to prevent this, but it’s a fools errand. I’m gonna remember all the good times we had and cherish all good the moments. 

I know you’re looking down smiling and I’m gonna be the best version of myself to make you proud PB. I love you so much brother, I’ll see you in the next life. Save me a seat up there brother.

My heart is in pieces.
This past year, my nephew Alfredo became one of the brightest parts of my world. His smile—oh, that beautiful, contagious smile—had the power to light up any room he walked into. He brought joy to my life in ways I can’t even begin to explain. He made me laugh, made me feel seen, and gave me a kind of love I will never forget.

Losing him has shattered me. The pain is unbearable. There are no words big enough to hold the weight of this grief.

He left us too soon, taken by a struggle too heavy for one heart to carry. And though I wish more than anything he were still here, I hope and pray that he is now surrounded by peace, by light, by angels who understand him deeply and hold him gently.

Alfredo, I love you to pieces. I will carry you in my heart every single day. Thank you for the joy you gave me. Thank you for your laughter, your light, your presence. I will miss you with every beat of my broken heart.
