Donna M. Pierce

In Loving Memory of our beloved Wife, Mother, Grami and Great-Grami Donna Marie Pierce. She was called home to be with our Lord Jesus on April 11, 2010 at the age of 74, in Ventura, California.

Donna Marie was born in Columbus, Ohio on Aug. 5, 1935 to Fred and Judy Schmitthammer. She was raised in Ohio along with her brother Fred. Her family moved to Los Angeles in 1953 and graduated from Westchester High School in 1954. After graduation she married and raised three children, Sharri, Rob and Jon, in Thousand Oaks Ca.

Donna was a wonderful homemaker and worked as a grocery checker for over 20 years in Thousand Oaks and Ventura, California. She retired with her best friend and love of her life Jack Pierce and moved to Ava, Mo. where they built the home of their dreams and lived a very happy life there for more than 20 Yrs. Two years ago they moved back to Ventura, Ca. so they could be closer to their family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Pierce of Ventura. She was very proud of and loved dearly her children: Sharri Ross (Gayle), Robert Shaw (Jan) and Jon Shaw; stepsons; John (Terrie) and Steve Pierce, grandchildren; Tami (Brett), Ryan, Shane and Robbie; step-grandchildren; Jenifer, Shauna, Ashley, Jessica and Stephanie; great-grandchildren; Laila and Leah and step-great-grandchildren; Jordan and Jayden.

You left us peaceful memories, your love will always be our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 16, at Pierce Brothers Chapel of the Oaks in Westlake Village, Ca.
