This was the last visit I had with Mema when her spirit was still in tact. We came and redecorated the whole home. She huffed and puffed the entire time but by the end of it she loved it. Here she is cuddling with the dog as always. Her happy place.

I am Fran's youngest, and as a child, she meant everything to me. As a little girl, I held tightly to her, always afraid she might leave my side. I vividly remember a ski trip to Big Bear when I was seven. We hopped onto a three-seat chairlift, with me nestled safely in the middle. Suddenly, I slipped and fell beneath the rotating chairs, my head bumping against the back bar as I descended. Without a moment's hesitation, my mom jumped off the chairlift to save me, risking her safety without a second thought. I cherish this memory of her—my fearless protector, my confidante, the person who always listened to my thoughts and feelings. She was my rock, and I will always carry her spirit with me.
