

Franklin Burr Morse, Jr. (Tim), passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at his home in Westlake Village. He passed in the presence of his loving family and devoted dog, Dr. Lou. He was surrounded by photos, paintings, and memories, all reflecting a life well lived.
Tim was born on September 20, 1933, in New York City. He served in the Korean War prior to attending Rollins College where he met the love of his life, Wendy Hirshon. They were married in 1959 and moved to Santa Barbara where their son Robert Morse and daughter Laura Schneider were born.
Tim had an entrepreneurial spirit and a variety of interests. As a member of the United States Junior Chamber (Jaycees) he led efforts to build the Santa Barbara Zoo, was a founding member of the Sierra Pacific FlyFishers Club, Red Cross Board Member, North Ranch Country Club member, and Past President of the International Association of Personnel in Employment Security for the state of California. He had a deep passion for golf, fly fishing in the Sierras, travel, and time with family.
Tim was cherished and adored by all who knew him. He had a great sense of humor and loved a good practical joke. He was selfless and giving and lived his life with an open heart.
He is survived by his beloved wife Wendy, his son Robert and daughter-in-law Trish, daughter Laura and son-in-law Bill Schneider, as well as eight grandchildren, Sean, Caitlin, Victoria, Meghan, Kelly, Caroline, Julia, and Matthew, and one great grandchild, Jaxon. He leaves behind two sisters, Sandy Doty and Elizabeth Candelario, and a brother Greg Morse. He was preceded in death by his sister Penny Doty.
