

Rex is survived by his sons Paul Wells Mugar, Peter Rex Mugar, 3 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. His son, Mark Wells Mugar and daughter Kathryn Ann Holt both preceded him in death. In addition, Rex’s beloved wife of 72 years, Margaret Mary, passed away on September 11, 2007.
A committed member of the Boy Scouts of America from age 12, Rex achieved Eagle Scout status and earned the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service to boyhood. He graduated from Modesto High School and attended Modesto Junior College and UCLA.
Rex was a career professional Scouter for the Boy Scouts of America, employed with the Field Executive Sacramento Area Council from 1932 to 1934, the Scout Executive Yosemite Area Council in Modesto, California from 1934 to 1941, the Deputy Regional Executive Region 11 in Portland, Oregon from 1941 to 1949 and Region 12 in Los Angeles from 1949 to 1951, the Deputy Scout Executive San Francisco Area Council from 1951 to 1960, and the Scout Executive San Fernando Valley Council in Van Nuys from 1960 to 1973.
Hratch C. (Rex) Mugar, rest in peace. Please pray for the happy repose of his soul.

The gate will open.
Go to the 1st stop sign. Turn RIGHT onto IRENA AVE
Go to the 2nd stop sign. Turn LEFT onto INEZ ST
Home is on the RIGHT at the top of the hill.
