Janice Anne Canty died January 5, 2021 after a brief illness. Janice was born November 15, 1940 in Sidney, Nebraska to George & Doris Wise. Her family moved to Illinois and she also spent time with her grandparents in Omaha, Nebraska, where she spoke of fond memories. Janice was the second born with an older sister, 2 younger sisters and younger brother.
Janice traveled to California as a young woman in the early 1960’s. She made careers in both aerospace and the mortgage industry. She also married and became the mother to 3 daughters.
Janice married her late husband Roger Canty in 1972. They enjoyed spending time with family and then became grandparents which was exciting for both of them.
Janice is survived by her 3 daughters, Lisa Davis, Lori (Pete) Salazar, and Diane Schleininger; sisters RosaLee Owen and Susan Froding, along with 3 grandchildren, Nicole Bottema, Ashlee Davis, Jacob Salazar and 1 great grandson Hunter Bottema.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roger, parents, sister Judi, brother Ken and her grandson Ben Salazar.
