Mary "Suzy" Danner

Mary “Suzy” Danner of Thousand Oaks, California, passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 69. She was born on May 14, 1956, in Leghorn, Italy. Suzy was the youngest daughter of world-renowned Air Force Lt. Colonel, Clyde East. Her family moved often and eventually settled in California in 1964.

Suzy graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1974 and later graduated from Sawyer Business College in 1976. She moved to Malibu, California, to surround herself with her love of nature and passion for horses. She began her professional career as an associate with a luxury car dealership in Santa Monica and went on to join State Farm Insurance as an Auto Claims Investigator. Suzy retired after 36 years of service in 2018.

Suzy was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Margaret East, and her siblings, Kenneth and Penny East.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Danner; son, Timothy East; daughter-in-law, Melanie Skipp; grandchildren, Griffin and Willow Skipp-East; stepdaughter, Ashley Danner; special niece, Willa Trask; brother, Dennis East; sisters, Jenny Cole and Becky Trask; and many other family members who meant so much to her.

Suzy was Baptized into her Christian faith on September 24, 2025. She peacefully left this earth from her husband’s arms to God’s Kingdom.
