I just found out today. It's hard to believe. You were always very kind and I only have fond memories of you. Though I only worked with you for a few months, I'll never forget you.

Dear Michael, Zych and Scully families:  Words could never describe how sorry I am for your loss.  Today I am sad.  Heaven must have needed a very beautiful angel.  May your memories of Monika bring you comfort in your mind and peach in your heart.

I cherish growing up looking up to you as my closest cousin in California. Although our lives were never in a parallel universe, you were always so kind and cheerful as well as a true inspiration to me. A couple years ago I remember visiting your beautiful home and being inspired by your incredible sense of style and warmth you shared for me and our family. 

Words cannot describe how honored that you came to Colorado for my wedding last Fall! I am sure I didn't get a chance to tell you just how much it meant to have you and your family there on my big day and your smile, support, and love were felt. 

I hope to make it to The French Laundry and have a glass of wine in your Honor one day, it is a recommendation I haven't forgotten!

You came into Designworks and our lives with the talent, grace and energy that lifted us to the top of our professional world. Your dedication to bringing beauty in the details of the designs you touched and your caring for people's lives outside of work will be a lasting legacy.  Thank you Monika for choosing Designworks to be the focus of your professional life. I, as much as anyone, benefited from that. You choreographed such a lovely send-off for me only a few weeks ago as I departed Designworks after thirty-two years, the last twenty with you, for my next chapter. I will hold onto the memory of your kind words and warm hug as we say goodbye today.

Monika, you always made me feel special and important. You always cared about everyone and saw things in them that they themselves were unaware of. You could reach into the souls of those around you and make them feel good about themselves...how special is that!!!  You warmth and compassion was always present in your eyes and smile, and what a beautiful smile...
I am fortunate because I got the chance to tell you how special, compassionate, caring, and totally awesome I thought you were. I also got to tell you that you were one of the reasons I enjoyed coming to work everyday and stayed here for so many years.  My life is so much better for having had you in it...the world is a better place because you were in it!! You will be missed more than words can say by your family and friends. You were truly remarkable!I love you and will miss you every day until we meet again.

We shared countless family gatherings Wigilia, Wielkanoc, and weddings.  Growing up I always looked up to you as a mature cousin who knew exactly what she wants in life; someone I wanted to become.  In the last couple of years we became peers, enjoying a glass of wine laughing about childhood  memories and giving each other advice on life.  Although we would only see each other a couple times a year always felt we picked up where we left off naturally enjoying each others company.    

You have always been and inspiration and will forever be.  Thank you.

Monika, we were so lucky to know you and to know so much about your incredible talent.  You were an amazing young woman and you will be greatly missed.  I will never forget you translating the beautiful poem that Andrew wrote in Polish for our dear Amelia.  You will be missed by all that knew you!

...Monika.........I am profoundly sad you never made it out to the ranch......you were always so interested hearing about the progress, especially in this last year when there has been actual progress......we didn't talk often at work, but when we did it was like catching up as old friends, which we were, 20 years.....was such a pleasure those chats, you were the warmth and heart of DW, always cheerful and funny, smiling laughing, caring....I am so sad those times are gone.......I wish you Godspeed on your journey.......
