Nancy Trumpy DeVore, of Westlake Village, was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin in 1943 and passed away on April 28, 2021.
After spending her youth in Wisconsin, she moved with her family to Santa Monica, California where she graduated from St. Monica’s High School and then continued her education at Mount Saint Mary’s College in Los Angeles. During the early space age, she worked as an executive secretary for Douglas Aircraft, and later McDonnell Douglas.
As a long-time resident of Westlake Village, Nancy was active in community service and charity work. She served as president of the Westlake Village Jr. Women’s Club and was involved with many charity fund-raising endeavors throughout the years. She enjoyed tennis, sailing, skiing, and the outdoors. It was not unusual to find Nancy bird watching, perusing a museum, or antiquing in Santa Barbara.
Nancy is survived by her former spouse, John W. DeVore, and siblings; Janet Yelle (Michael), Thomas Trumpy (Carol), Daniel Trumpy (Tamara), and Virginia Cates (Patrick) as well as numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Patricia Trumpy.
