

Nancy Jean Henschen (Patrick), age 69, of Newbury Park, California, died Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Saint John’s Hospital in Camarillo, California. Born June 24, 1954, in White Plains, New York to Paul and Norma (Kuck) Henschen, the third of five children. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jon, and her brother-in-law, Dan O’Brien. She is survived by her three children, Shannon Dyson, Allison Patrick and Brian Patrick; 4 grandchildren, Liam, Cordelia and Oona Dyson and Devynn Patrick. Also survived by, sister, Barbara O’Brien (Dan), and brothers, Greg and Doug (Anne) Henschen and sister-in-law, Jackie (Jon) Henschen. Nancy grew up mainly in Riverwoods, Illinois and was a 1972 graduate of Deerfield High School and also attended Milton College in Milton, Wisconsin and Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. She was a full-time mother who ensured her children participated in many varied educational and recreational endeavors, and also worked as an Educational Assistant in the Las Virgenes Unified School District. She was an avid gardener and art enthusiast, often bringing the two interests together in her own garden. She also enjoyed fashion (Style with Elsa Klensch and W Magazine), the Three Tenors (Carreras, Domingo & Pavarotti), tennis (Wimbledon) and touring gardens and visiting art museums around the state of California. Family and friends are invited to attend a service at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park and Cemetery at 5600 Lindero Canyon Road in Westlake Village, California on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 2 p.m. For virtual attendance on Zoom, please email [email protected], and an invitation link will be sent to you via email prior to the service.
