Rudy was a wonderful husband, fantastic father, encouraging coach, loving son and brother that loved his family and friends immensely. The two loves of his life were his wife Monica and his daughter Vanessa. To whom I will all my strength and prayers to in their time of need. The only encouraging words I can give is to take it one day at time to lessen the heartache. You will never forget him however, time will help ease the pain.  Remember how much he loved y'all and cherish all the moments that y'all shared.

Rude Dogg, I will always remember your boisterious laugh, especially when I watch Tommy Boy; "big guy in a little coat." It is a classic just as you are now. Hopefully Chris Farley is performing it live for you. So, that you can share your great laugh with those in heaven. ;) When I hear Aerosmith's song; " I Don't Want to Miss a Thing " I always remember your wedding day and the father daughter dance you dedicated to Vanessa. It was an endearingly beautiful dance you gave to the greatest accomplishment that came from the love and commitment you and Monica shared. It was such a powerful expression of the immense love and admiration you had for Vanessa and how proud you were to be her father and Monica's husband. These are some of the many fond memories that I will always cherish.

Thank you for all you gave asking for nothing in return. You are truly missed and loved. Rude Dogg may the eternal light shine for you always. Till we meet again.  XOXOXO

Rudy, what can we say, we miss you so much and were blessed to have so many memories with you, Monica and Vanessa. Coach Rudy I will miss your kind smile, your warm hellos and I'll especially miss you calling me Kiki, even though that's what I was called when I was 7, and I'm 16 now. Coach Rudy you are dearly loved and will be missed by so many. Thank you for always setting a good example on the softball fields. I will never forget you.

The Best Softball Coach I have ever known. He was always there for the girls to lift them up, boost their confidence and encourage them to be the best they can be. Oh Lord, make me a better coach.

Help me to understand my players, to listen patiently to what they have to say, and to answer all their questions with kindness.

Keep me from embarrassing my players, talking down to them, and contradicting them. Make me courteous to them as I would have them be to me. May I not purposely or unintentionally hurt the feelings of my players. Forbid that I should laugh at their mistakes, or resort to shame and ridicule as punishment.

Guide me that I may demonstrate by all I say and do that honesty, attitude, and fairness produces good sportsmanship, happiness, and success, on the field and in life.

Lord, help me to praise the efforts of my players, my opponents, my fellow coaches, and game officials, rather than condemn them.

Blind me to the errors of my players and help me to see the effort involved in what they do. Allow me to always be ready with an honest word of praise.

Help me to treat my players as children and let me not expect of them the judgments and convictions of adults. Allow me not to rob them of the opportunity to think, to choose, and to make their own decisions.

Forbid that I should ever punish them for my own selfish expectations of victory. Make me so fair and just, so considerate and companionable to my players that they will have a genuine esteem for me.

Allow me to be a worthy example, proud to have my actions imitated by my players. Give me calm, poise, and self-control I need to earn and keep the respect and admiration of my players, their parents, and my peers.

Rudy was truly my second father. He always took care of me like I was his own daughter and always made sure I was ok and having a good time. He was my very first softball coach, and he taught me how to play like no other. He always had a smile on his face, I don't ever think I saw him angry. He left a special mark on me and from now on I will always play for him and think of him while I'm playing. He was a great man and father and I will never forget him. I will miss you dearly and love you Coach Rudy!

There are not enough words to express what a truly amazing, wonderful, loving and caring person Rudy was to all of us and everyone that was lucky to have known him. Rudy had a gift of making each person he met feel "special."  He could brighten your day instantly with a smile and he believed in every child he coached. I remember Rudy for his sense of humor, his passion for softball and how he always made me laugh. He always made me feel welcome and comfortable, like an old friend, ever since first meeting him. You will be missed Rudy!

My memories of Rudy are of him always smiling! He had a great smile and sense of humor. He was a light that everyone loved and it was fun to hang around him. I loved his story telling because he always would say them with passion! He also had a very caring nature and you could see his love for Monica and Vanessa. It wasn't in words, but in his actions and how he looked at them. This is how I will always remember Rudy. It was an honor to have known him and may he rest in peace. It's been 2 months since Rudy went to coach girls who needed him in heaven. We miss his help down here but a higher authority requested his presence, one who has the ultimate say for all of us as he watches how we live our lives. He has been watching how Rudy treated others, worked with youth, and inspired so many with his positive words and deeds. Our Heavenly Father was running low on Angels and Rudy was taken from us for more important work. I have only known him for a year. I had the pleasure of feeling like I've known him my whole life. His family, Monica and Vanessa, reflect his gentle spirit and beautiful heart, and we have them to be with us, and be his legacy for all that know them. Rudy Monica and Vanessa had a great summer traveling with us to New York and Colorado. After doing the same trip for 13 years, I don't remember ever having so much fun spending time with the Jacquez family. I'm so happy I could share that time with them. God bless Rudy, and I know God will bless and watch over and protect Monica and Vanessa, as Rudy would.

Thanks for being an awesome coach. Even though i may not have shown it at the time but you always pushed me to keep going, and i am now greatful for that. Rudy was always willing to come over to my home and do whatever needed doing. He never asked for anything in return but I always insisted anyway.  He was so kind and generous and I miss his smile.  No matter what else was happening in his life he was always upbeat. You will be missed
