Susan was born on November 6, 1939 in McKeesport, PA, as the only child of the late James and Mildred Duncan. Following graduation from Van Nuys High School, she attended Los Angeles Valley Community College and soon after met Howard F. Walker, whom she married in January, 1959.
She enjoyed being a wonderful homemaker, raising a family of four boys with much love and admirable patience in Newbury Park, CA and Gilroy, CA. After her boys were grown, Susan kept herself busy as a part-time hairdresser and with numerous activities including roller skating, country line dancing and walking with her canine and human friends.
She is survived by four sons; Blaine Walker of Arcadia, CA, Todd Walker of Gilroy, CA, Scott Walker of Gilroy, CA, Thomas Walker of San Carlos, CA, five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations should be made to an animal humane charity as an appropriate way to celebrate her love of pets and animals.
