missed by all.
He was born November
14, 1937 in Michigan
where he graduated from
University of Michigan
with a degree in Civil Engineering
Upon graduation, he
started a fulfilling career in his field. He began with
Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, Ill. Southern California
called to him where he served for the remaining
of his career. Initially he worked for LA County
Road Department. In time, he and his family
moved to Ventura County where he remained for
the rest of his life. He worked with Donald Fisher
and Associates, then on to Simi Valley as Traffic
Engineer. He was blessed to finish his career as
Deputy Director Public Works/Transportation for
the City of Camarillo. His work career brought
him a sense of fulfillment and joy. He made many
friends along the way.
He is preceded in death by his parents, (George
and Lois) sister, (Elizabeth) first wife, (Judy) and
son, (Douglas).. He leaves behind his son, (Damon:
wife Sue, grandsons, Will and Nic) Granddaughter
from Douglas, (Jessica) current wife, (Maryann),
her sons, (John, wife, Shannon and daughter, Gianna)
son, (Brian, wife, Nancy, son, Brian Joseph
and baby girl coming) and finally, long time friend
Janice.
Bill enjoyed Sunday drives in the Country after
Church. He cherished holidays with the family.
He loved anything connected to trains and vintage
cars. He was good at card games and taught
Gianna many of his favorites. We will hold dear
these memories.
Due fo Covid, we will have a private family service
with a celebration of life gathering at a later
date.
