

Born in Hobart, Oklahoma to Clifford and Mary Deeds Jones and moved to California at age 16.
Keith was an ironworker and mechanic before being drafted into the Army where he served a 1 year tour in Viet Nam. He was involved in an explosion and suffered injuries that prohibited him from resuming his prior vocation so he started shingling roofing materials for a number of years before joining a local roofing distributing company. Not satisfied with working for someone else, Keith was determined to serve the needs of contractors better, so he started his own company, JB Wholesale. 41 years later Keith had a customer base of nearly 1,000 contractors and employed 200 people.
His passion for ocean fishing was tremendous and he competed vigorously winning many first place trophies.
While he loved spending his free time on his boat in Puerto Vallarta he also fished many waters in Mexico and Hawaii, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Alaska and Ventura Channel Islands.
Keith also loved the "thrill of the hunt" and went frequently in his "younger days"
He was and accomplished skier and and met his "buddies" for an annual ski trip for many years
He loved cars and owned a fleet of classic cars that he occasionally showed at local car shows
Keith attended many high school reunions in Hobart and enjoyed spending time with classmates reminiscing. He remained in close contact with his childhood friend from 4 years old, Dot
He has been a resident of Westlake Village for 18 years and currently resided in Lake Sherwood with his wife Karen and his beloved schnauzers, Addie, Woody and Ella
Keith will always be remembered for his kind heart and warm smile as he has done so much for so many over the years. He supported and sponsored many non-profit events that benefited veterans, the sick and needy.
Keith is survived by his wife Karen and blended family of 2 daughters, 7 grandchildren and 2 greats
Also his son Brian Jones and wife Amanda, grandson Cannon, daughter Debbie MacPherson and husband Bruce, grandson Brock, Brother Johnny and wife Vicki
He is predeceased by his parents Clifford Jones and Mary Deeds Harlow
Due to Covid restrictions the funeral services will be private, however it will be live streamed on Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks public Facebook page and on Zoom this Saturday, November 28 at 12;00 PST.
