

SCHUERMANN, Anton “Bud” Jr., 93, of Township Of Washington, NJ, formerly of Paramus, NJ, passed away on Saturday, April 25th, 2026. Bud is survived by his children Anton “Tony” Schuermann III, Debra Schuermann-Slusarz and her husband Ziggy Slusarz and Ronald Schuermann. His grandchildren Nicole Slusarz, Jennifer Hazell, Ron Schuermann and Jamie Schuermann as well as his great-granddaughter Cora Lee Osborne as well as his brother Gary Schuermann and his spouse Venta Schuermann and his brother in-law Harold Saydah (husband to Audrey Schuermann-Saydah). He is predeceased by his beloved wife Audrey Aamodt-Schuermann on 10/20/2024; his siblings Edward Schuermann and his spouse Karen Schuermann, Bob Schuermann and his spouse Linda Schuermann and Audrey Schuermann-Saydah along with Bud’s brothers-in-law Leonard Aamodt and Bob Aamodt.
Bud grew up with 3 brothers and 1 sister in Cresskill, NJ. Bud served with honor in the Army during the Korean War. Once he returned from the war, he married his sweetheart, Audrey Aamodt. They moved to Paramus, NJ where they made their home. Bud worked for Ford motor company and eventually opened his Schuermann Plumbing and Heating Business along with his 2 sons. They made their way to Washington Township and settled into a wonderful life together.
Bud joined the VFW Post 6192 in Washington Township where he served as the Commander of his post for a period of time. He also received the Citizen of the Year award from the Washington Township Mayor for his contributions and volunteer service to the residents of the Township.
The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ on Sunday, May 17th from 2-6PM with a celebration of life and military service commencing at 4PM.
