Barbara Dohman

DOHMAN, Barbara (nee Caggiano), a resident of River Vale for over 51 years, passed away in the home she loved on Friday August 31st, 2018 at the age of 80. Barbara was born in New York City and attended CCNY in the 50’s. She loved to dance, cook, and had quite a talent for all things “arts & crafts”.

She is predeceased by her husband Leo, her parents Joseph and Marie Caggiano and her Aunt Lena Paterno. She is survived by her 4 children Ronald, Lia, Eric and his wife Fay and Jodi Uhl and her husband James. Barbara’s greatest loves that she leaves behind are her 12 grandchildren; Deana, Todd, Scott, Maranda, Jessica, Amelia, Corin, Nicholas, Thomas, Samantha, Mathew, Abigail and her 4 great-grandchildren; Alexandra, Jake, Anthony and Aeson.

The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ on Monday, September 3rd from 4-8PM with a celebration of Barbara’s life at 7:30PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Autism Speaks @ Autismspeaks.org. The family would also like to thank all of the caregivers from Valley Hospice, Valley Home Care and Home Instead. Your loving care will never be forgotten.
