Carla Elizabeth Errico (Grassi), 64, of Harrington Park, New Jersey passed away peacefully on November 28th, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. Carla was the beloved wife of Nicholas and the mother to Nicholas (Brandi), Dana (Chris), Melissa, and Julianna. She was the dear sister of Lorraine (Robert) and the proud Mimi to her four grandchildren who she loved so dearly, Nicholas, Olivia, Charlotte, and Robert. They brought her endless love and joy.
Carla was born in Westwood, New Jersey on September 12, 1961, to the late Dominick and Anna Grassi. Carla attended elementary school in Harrington Park, a town she held close to her heart as she later raised her own children there. Carla was a graduate of Northern Valley Old Tappan High School where she met her best friends for life, The Motleys. She went on to graduate Rutgers University with a Bachelors in Nutritional Science and Masters in Health Service Management & Policy. She spent over 40 years in healthcare proudly working for Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York in various roles and later Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey as the Neuroscience Manager.
Carla’s proudest achievement in life was her four children, whom she loved with all her heart. Carla spent many years cheering on her children at countless sporting events—from basketball and baseball to cheerleading. She was their biggest supporter; in everything they did. In the last few years, Carla extended that same unwavering love and support to her grandchildren. Nothing brought her more happiness than being their Mimi.
In recent years, she spent much of her time in Toms River, where she and her husband Nick purchased a home. She quickly formed close friendships with the neighbors and soon became known as 'the glue' that brought everyone together. She was also the ultimate hostess—Carla loved hosting any event or holiday, especially Christmas Eve, and she was truly exceptional at it. She thoughtfully planned every detail, from the perfect menu to a beautifully set dining table, all while filling her home with the family and friends she adored.
Carla will be remembered for her ability to brighten every room, bringing joy to others, and her unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She had a gift for making people feel heard and loved. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Carla’s beautiful life will be celebrated with a visitation on Tuesday, December 2nd from 4:00 - 8:00PM at Becker Funeral Home in Westwood, New Jersey. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Victories in Harrington Park, NJ on Wednesday, December 3rd at 10:00AM. The interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Cemetery in Paramus, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Pink Hat Campaign (Venmo: PinkHatCampaign) for Cancer Research, Treatments, and Hopes for a Cure.
