Van Horn, Carol, (nee Berndt), 84, on Thursday, October 29, 2015 of River Vale. Beloved wife of the late George. Devoted mother of Jeffrey and his wife Linda; Douglas and his wife Sandy. Loving grandmother of Ted, Alex, Thomas and Lauren. Born in Westwood, she lived in Park Ridge before settling in River Vale. Carol was a legal secretary for many years, working for Robert McGuire, Esq., Westwood for 20 years, retiring in 1995. She was an active member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Woodcliff Lake, singing in the choir and serving as the church Treasurer some years ago. Carol was also Past President of the Junior Women’s Club, Westwood. Visitation at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Wednesday, November 4 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A graveside service will be held on Thursday , November 5 at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus Road, Paramus at 10:00 am.
