Caryl "Jim" N. Currier

Caryl “Jim” Currier of Emerson, NJ passed away on Saturday October 11, 2025. Beloved Husband of the late Jean Currier. Devoted father of Daniel Currier and his wife Judy, Susan Currier, and Lorraine Carey and her husband Steven. Treasured Grandfather of Megan Barone and her husband Ron, Colleen Carey and her fiancé Eoin Heaney, Daniel Currier and Louis Currier. Loving Great Grandfather of Kayleigh Barone. Beloved Pet Dad to Jody and Riley. He served in the US Navy from 1945 -1967 mostly on nuclear submarines and worked his way up to rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. After retiring from the Navy he had careers with the Federal General Service Administration and New York City Hospitals. In his retirement he enjoyed camping and traveling the world, but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs. The family will receive family and friends on Thursday October 16 from 4-8pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ. The interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Caryl’s name to American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association or ASPCA.
