Edward E. Grande

Edward E. Grande, age 83, of Westwood, NJ passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019. He is predeceased by his wife Margarita. He is survived by his beloved son and namesake Edward Jr., daughter Christina and husband Anthony. His strong faith and commitment to family were evident throughout his life. From the Bible, he often cited the passage from Matthew 25:45, "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the last of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." He tried to live his life accordingly. He was blessed with a gift to write, life-long childhood friends and the ability to hold true to his convictions. In this life, he loved most good food, watching sports, teaching and writing poetry. The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday, 9-10:30AM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Edward's life and faith will follow at Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Township of Washington, NJ at 11AM. Entombment at Garden of Memories, Township of Washington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Joe Raso Hospice Residence c/o hospiceofrockland.org would be appreciated.
