KOEHLER, Edward T., 89, of Emerson, NJ, formerly of Old Tappan, NJ & Lords Valley, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 25th, 2025. Edward is survived by his loving children Joanie of Old Tappan, NJ and Edward and his wife Denise of Ponte Vedra, FL as well as many extended relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Marie.
Edward went to Hunter College and received his Masters in Phys Ed and went on to become a Phys Ed Teacher, Athletic Trainer and Coach at Northern Valley Old Tappan High School from 1963 until his retirement in 1998. He was very proud of the students he taught and the relationships he forged at NVOT.
The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ on Saturday, April 5th from 2-6PM. A Celebration of life and faith will take place at Prince Of Peace Lutheran Church, Old Tappan, NJ on Sunday, April 6th at 1PM with private cremation to follow.
