

James W. Wagner Sr., 85, of Emerson, NJ, passed peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved father of Geraldine M. Sheehan, James W. Wagner, Jr. and Deborah L. Fehre. Loving grandfather of John and Donald Sheehan, Jason and Jackie Wagner, Christina, Caroline and Catherine Fehre. Cherished great grandfather of John, Kevin and Matthew Sheehan. James was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps First Division serving in World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Arena from February 1943-November 1945. He participated in action against the enemy at New Guinea, Cape Gloucester, Palau and Okinawa. His special military qualification was Intelligence Observer. After many years as owner of Academy Tree Service, he served as Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds at Emerson Junior/Senior High School. In his retirement James dedicated his time and service as Chariman of the Emerson Shade Tree Commission. He was an avid gardener, accomplished wood craftsman and beloved by all who knew him. Service at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday at 10 AM. Cremation will be private. The Family will receive their friends on Sunday, 7-9 PM and Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
