Jeanette Baba

BABA, Jeanette M., 93, of Hillsdale, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jamaica Queens, NY to Joseph and Belle Marie Obecny. Beloved wife of the late Theodore B. Baba. Devoted mother of Michael Baba, Margaret Stillman and her husband David, and the late Anne Marie Baba. Loving grandmother of Amanda Rebecca, Matthew Patrick and Michael Edward. Dear sister of the late Dorothy Fielder and the late Jack Obceny. Cherished aunt of Bonnie, Doug, Will and Carl. Jeanette had worked for the Borough of Hillsdale as a School Crossing Guard for 19 years and previously was a Librarian for Kellog Corporation in New York City. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Sunday, May 18 from 1-5PM. The Funeral Service celebrating Jeanette’s life and faith will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 19 at 11AM. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Jeanette’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
