

Joan Rose Arrigoni passed away on September 28, 2023 surrounded by family at the age of 92. In 1939, Joan moved from her birthplace Newark, NJ, to Cresskill, NJ, a town where she called home for an incredible 84 years. She is survived by her loving son, David Arrigoni and his wife, Susan. Joan’s memory lives on through her cherished grandchildren, Brian Arrigoni and his wife, Kristin and their children Connor and Hailey; Lauren Naisawald and her husband, Andrew and their son Henry; Matthew Arrigoni and his wife, Catherine. She will be dearly missed by her devoted brother, John C. Williams III, and caring nephew John Campoli and his wife, Meg. She is predeceased by her beloved husband and soulmate of 68 years, Walter Henry Arrigoni, sister Dorothy Campoli, nephew Rodney Campoli, sister-in-law Lydia Reitz, and parents, John and Josephine Williams. For over 35 years, Joan dedicated herself to the service of others as a nurse and office manager for local family practitioners, Dr. Loman and later, Dr. Abrams. Joan left an indelible mark on the lives of countless patients. Above all, Joan was an adoring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Affectionately known as "Nan" by her family, she leaves behind a legacy of warmth and boundless love. Joan's heart held a special place for her lifelong friends, who brought her immense joy. Joan was passionate about her time spent with her quilting club and proudly had her quilt displayed in a local art exhibit. A celebration of Joan's remarkable life, as well as a tribute to her late husband, Walter, will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Tenafly, NJ at 10:45AM. Committal service to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Arrangements are managed by Becker Funeral Home, Westwood, NJ.
