John J. Green

Dear brother of Kathy Galto (nee Green). Loving grandfather of Kelsey Wegman, Hailey Wegman, Lillian Green, and John Green.

Born and raised in Yonkers NY, upon graduating high school he served in the US Army during the Korean war. He would later become a sales director with Dun and Bradstreet where he enjoyed a long and successful career. Jack loved sports, especially playing golf with his friends and family. He was beloved for his humor and love of life and was a great friend and neighbor to many throughout his lifetime.

He was a dedicated and loving father who provided endless support and encouragement to his children. He loved nothing more than attending their sporting events and spending time with them over a nice dinner (and drinks!). He especially adored his grandchildren who gave him love and solace in his final years. Most of all, he was a loving and devoted husband who cared for his wife dearly. Jack left us with a lifetime of memories and will be greatly missed.

A visitation for John will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church, 668 Ridgewood Rd, Township of Washington, NJ 07676. A committal service will occur Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Ascension Cemetery, 650 Saddle River Rd, Airmont, NY 10952.
