

John M. Kolvek, 85 of Westborough, MA, passed away on April 12, 2012 at his home. Born in Manhattan, NY, he lived in Hillsdale, NJ before moving to Westborough, MA 3 years ago. John was a husband and father to ten children and worked as an electrical engineer for Bendix Guidance and Control Systems for 39 years, retiring in June 1989. He was a WW II Navy Veteran, a graduate of Pratt Institute and of Newark College of Engineering, and a communicate of St. John the Baptist Church, Hillsdale, NJ. He was predeceased by beloved wife, Anne L. Kolvek; his son, Christopher Kolvek; and his sister, Dorothy Martinez. He is survived by his children, John A. Kolvek, William Kolvek and his companion Karen Skoglund, Andrew Kolvek, Michael Kolvek and his wife Kelly, Virginia Kolvek and her companion Tom Paulus, Nancy Meaney and her husband Jerry, Stephen Kolvek and his wife Leslie, Mary Moede and her husband Jade and Edward Kolvek and his wife Maureen; and his nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Annie, Taylor, Elysa, Stephen, Eric, Nicholas and Christian. Funeral from the Becker Funeral Home on Monday 9am with a 10am funeral mass at St. John the Baptist Church, Hillsdale, NJ. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in John’s memory.
