To John’s family:
We justifiably relied on John’s professional services: oil tanks - remove & install, furnace; air conditioning units/ 3 whole house units with prompt friendly perfect service.

John’s friendly demeanor and laser focus on getting the jobs done right was very much appreciated and relied upon.

We miss him.

Hi Julie - very sorry to learn of John’s passing. I knew ‘Johnny’ as a kid. We worked as caddies together at a country club in Tenafly. He wasn’t very big at 13-14 years old, but I’d have him over to our house, and my mother marveled at the volume of food Johnny could pack in. I’m a bit older than he, and I graduated from Paramus Catholic the spring before John started there. Even as a kid, John had that big heart and soft demeanor that everyone mentions and appreciates. Dear Julie and family,
I just found out about John's passing!  I am in shock!  He was so young and devoted to his clients at any hour of the day and night.  He worked so hard and had a devoted crew who worked with him, among them was Bobby.  John could fix or install anything.  He tool big oil furnaces and converted them to gas. He really understood the mechanisms of  air-conditioning units and could unfreeze them!
He had a big heart and tried to help everyone.
I sell real estate and he helped me countless times to fix units just before or just after closings.
How much he is missed and will be missed!

I am sorry to hear John has pasted n profoundly sad I am. I am a residential customer. He is missed even though I knew him as a customer. He responded to my requests professionally n put up with my ignorance n stupid questions about plumbing n furnaces. I appreciate his professionalism n determination to get things done properly. He was always responsive to my calls for help regardless of the time of day. I would say to his team that John must be tough to work for because he demands high professional standards from himself n demands the same from  them. At the same time they are very fortunate to have opportunity to learn from a  pro n nice guy who cares about them. A unique person in many ways and he will be missed.

John started doing work for us over 15 yrs ago. He was the best. Never failed us. He cared. He became a friend, someone we trusted totally and looked forward to seeing. John was simply a person whom you will never forget as he made such an incredible impression on Joan and myself with his kind, caring and hardworking ways, second to none. We have lost our neighbor, Mr Neubauer, as we affectionately called him. His kindness and compassion were immeasurable. A truly wonderful person has left us and we are very thankful to have been blessed to know him.

To those who knew him, he was an extremely kind, patient, and forgiving man who always took the time to help those in need even when no one else would. He would always cherish those around him and offer guidance to those who needed it. He will live on forever in the hearts of those he touched and will be honored as the kind of man we should all aspire to become.

Beautiful pictures of your lovely family, really showing what a family man John was.  My memories are of how much John absolutely adored Julie, the girls and the dog. I remember him selflessly working on the house a couple houses down so it would be as perfect as their own family home, which he renovated beautifully and Julie decorated in beauty.  He will be so missed. I am so sorry for the way too soon loss of a good man.

He would always go out of his way to help my family but he would do it for anyone just the same. John knew something about everything. He was Google before Google existed. He would always take my call and offer his assistance. Julie and family, we are always here for you for whatever we can do. He will be missed. 

My heartfelt condolences to John’s family and friends.  John was a Bergenfield friend and classmate at St. John’s.  I was “that” friend who would bring him his classwork when he was out sick. His house was on my way home.
We reconnected, in later years through a mutual friend and again when I worked for the Hillsdale Building Department and he needed plumbing permits.
John was one of the good guys.  
John,  rest in peace and may your family find comfort in their memories.

He was John to my mother, Gloria Smith, but he was always Mr. Neubauer to us, out of respect.  He was a wonderful, kind man, always there for us when we needed him, like a surrogate father since ours has passed.  When we had the flood and didn't know what to do, he was there for us.  He was always there for us.  My mother  just loved him.  He will be terribly missed 


Heart of gold. I’ll always remember the many times John bailed me out—literally. My basement flooded at least twice. And one time, while I was away for the weekend, the pipes froze and there was a foot of water on the floor, soaking the furniture and the walls upstairs. No matter that it was 8:00 on a frigid winter Sunday night. There was John backing me up, like always. Unconditionally helping. Doing what needed to be done, with his big heart. 
I'm sending so much love and support to the Neubauer family, my dear, dear friends, and treasured neighbors. Holding you. . .

John was a kind and loving person, always ready and willing to help no matter the time of day/night.  He will be deeply missed.
