Laila Shahin

Laila is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Francis. Devoted mother to Frank and his wife Diane of Park Ridge, and Brigette Shahin of Riverdale. She is predeceased by sons Sami and Samir.

Loving grandmother to Samir, Samar and her husband Brandon, Madeleine, Katherine, Peter, and Amanda.

“Tata” as she was called by her grandchildren will always be remembered for hosting holidays and family gatherings. For anyone who stopped by, you were always welcomed with love and hospitality. She was happiest when spending time with family and friends.

A visitation for Laila will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 7, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Our Lady Of Mercy R.C. Church, Pascack & Freemont Roads, Park Ridge, NJ 07656.

Committal service will occur Friday, July 7, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Ascension Cemetery, 650 Saddle River Road, Airmont, NY.
