Lorraine M. Emerick

Lorraine M. Emerick, of Oradell, NJ, formerly of New York, NY, on Friday, August 23, 2013. Loving sister of Barbara A. Leahy of Dumont, NJ and her late husband William, the late Thomas Emerick and survived by her sister-in-law Joy of San Antonio, TX. Dear aunt of Steven Emerick of Ventura, CA, Robin Leahy and her fiancé Bill Kent of Charlotte, NC, Russell Emerick and his wife Pam of Easton, PA, Dawn Tucker and her husband Edward of Rutherford, NJ, Tara Setteducati and her husband JR of Emerson, NJ, Holly O'Shaughnessy and her husband John of Branchburg, NJ and the late William P. Leahy. Great-aunt of Patrick Smith and his wife Jaclyn; Kerri Smith; Faith, Ryan, Donovan and Cassidy Tucker; Victoria Setteducati; Sydney and Megan O'Shaughnessy; and Stephanie, Shawn, Ashley and Sage Emerick.

Lori was employed in the accounting department of Sterling-Winthrop, Inc. for over 30 years until her retirement. She had a special fondness for her old movies. Lori was a life-long resident of NYC who often stated, "You can take the girl out of the city, but you can't take the city out of the girl." Mostly, Lori had a deep love for children, especially her many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Liturgy was held at Church of The Assumption, Emerson, NJ. Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hackensack, NJ. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis TN, 38101-9908 would be appreciated.
