

He was raised and educated in Park Ridge, NJ. In 1962 to 1965, he served his country honorably in the United States Navy on the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier.
He owned and operated his own roofing and siding company before retiring to Hankins, NY.
Louis was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting. In his retirement, he took up the game of golf and among his favorite outings were the Father and Sons weekends.
He was a member of the Cpl. Jedh C. Barker Memorial Post 153.
He is predeceased in life by his parents Louis and Margaret (Attas) Redard, his Aunt Grace Williamson, cousin Bonnie Unger, nephew Kenneth Redard Jr., and Anne Weatherly.
He is survived by his three loving sons and their families. Darren Redard and his wife Monique, and their children Brynlee and Brandon, Michael Redard and his wife Alicia, and their children Brianna and Michael Jr., and Brian Redard and his partner Tori Clement, and their child Romeo.
Dear brother of Kenneth Redard and his partner Charlotte. Uncle to Louann Redard and her husband Ryan Sturdevant and their daughter Kenley Sturdevant. Cousin to Linda Mackey.
He is also survived and loved by Elizabeth (Betty) Redard, and Bonnie Schum and family.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 2 Fremont Ave., Park Ridge, NJ 07656 and a gathering to Celebrate Louis' life will follow from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Park Ridge American Legion, 118 Ridge Ave., Park Ridge, NJ 07656.
