Marie Diane Idone

February 27, 2023 with her family by her side after a courageous battle with ovarian

cancer.

Beloved wife of Frank Idone and devoted mother of Anita and Natalie.

Cherished daughter of Gerard and Anita Catalanello of East Meadow NY. Loving sister

of Gerard Catalanello and his wife Diane of Dix Hills, NY. Cherished daughter in law of

Lucy Idone of Ramsey, NJ and dear sister in law to Terri Corriston and her husband

Carter of Ramsey, NJ.

Born in Long Island, she was raised in East Meadow before

moving to Ridgewood where she raised her family and made many wonderful friends.

Marie was a special education teacher with the Bergen County Special Education District

at Brownstone School in Saddle Brook. Marie received her undergraduate degree from

Molloy College and had two Masters Degrees. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount

Carmel Church where she taught CCD. Family was the most important part of Marie’s

life but she had a lifelong passion for learning and teaching. She was never prouder then

when Anita and Natalie both became teachers, allowing her to share her passion with

them.

The family will receive family and friends on Thursday, March 2 at Becker

Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m

to 9:00 p.m.

A Mass celebrating Marie’s life and faith will be held on Friday March 3 at

1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ridgewood, NJ. The

ENTOMBMENT will follow at Garden of Memories in Twp. of Washington, NJ.
