Michelle M. Boccellari Burns

4 May, 198415 June, 2020

Burns, Michelle M., 36 of Dumont, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Michelle is survived by her three children. Giuliana, age 5, Tianna, age 18 months, and Brianna, age 8 months. Parents John C. and MaryEllen Boccellari; her siblings John C. Boccellari, his wife Sharon, their 2 children, Isabella and Lilliana, and Nicole Boccellari and Alex and their 3 children, Alexander, Sophia and Angelina. Michelle was also a Godmother to Ulysses & Alexander and a Goddaughter to Christine & Michael. Michelle is predeceased by her sister, MaryEllen.

Michelle worked at Hans Maxem's, right out of high school, as a hairdresser. Michelle was a great beautician as she built great relationships with all her clients and co-workers, they adored her, she always made them laugh and was always there to listen. Michelle was a great mother to her 3 beautiful daughters as they loved to dance and take silly pictures. Michelle loved to be close to family and friends as she looked forward to all gatherings, especially having all the cousins play together. Michelle had a great sense of humor as she was always known as “the life of the party,” she really knew how to have a great time and bring smiles to all faces around her. Her heart was huge as she wanted to fix it all, be the first to give advice, and would always be the first to give a helping hand before giving it to herself.

Michelle was loved by all around, she was the favorite friend, she was the favorite cousin, she was the favorite niece, everyone just loved her sense of humor and strong personality on what she believed in. We will all miss you Michelle, we all love you, and please rest in peace.

I came to know Michelle through my daughter, when I accompanied her on a few of her appointments to Hans Maxim. She was always friendly, and always so accommodating, as her main goal was to make the client happy. She possessed this beautiful sense of patience.... She was an extremely pretty girl with a very angelic face. When I asked about her children, her face would light up. My daughter and I will miss her, and can easily see what a great loss she will be to her family, friends, and of course, Hans Maxim.

I met Michelle through my daughter, because she was her customer. She was very pretty girl, with a very angelic face. She was professional, patient, and always seemed to strive to please the customer. Whenever she talked about her children, her face would light up. I will miss her, and always feel she was a great asset to Hans Maxim.

I was a client of Michelle's for over a decade. During that span of time, I never had the discipline to refrain from giving myself an unprofessional 'touch up' or 'trim', in between haircuts with Michelle. My job often proved hectic to the point I neglected to come in timely. When I finally DID make it in, Michelle always had a botched head of hair to try and fix, repair, straighten out and make look well-groomed again; often, a tall order. Never did Michelle become angered, annoyed, or feel the need to vent about this. She was understanding, consoling, and somehow, worked her magic, allowing me to 'clean up nicely'. She was the quintessential 'beautiful person.' She possessed great humility, and I will miss her diplomacy and her smile. She had the heart of a dove. She is with our God, spreading her kindness now, up above.

I have been a customer of Hans Maxem's for approximately twenty-eight years.

I've always gotten a fine buzz, charged fairly, and treated, nicely and respectfully.

Michelle had buzzed my hair many times and many times we talked about school, children, and life-in-general. She was wise and friendly and she would listen to what you had to say and comment accordingly. She loved her children and spoke of them often.

What a truly sad day it was [for me] to go back to Hans Maxem's after it had to be closed because of Covid-19, only to be told of Michelle's death.

I am so very sadden by what had befallen her. I hope she is with God and she is at peace!

I wish my friends at Hans Maxem's peace and good fortune!

As I write this, I am shocked and cry for the tragic, untimely loss of Michelle. She was a talented hair stylist and the I always looked forward to seeing her at Hans Maxems. Michelle was a sweet, kind devoted mother and beautiful woman both inside and out.
May she be at peace surrounded by love.

Michelle was an amazing person, mother, and friend. I looked up to her since i was little as my whole family would get their hair done at Hans. We would talk about her daughters and our lives. She would always ask about how i'm doing in school and actually cared about her clients because they were her family also. She was such a down to earth person my heart breaks for her family. I wish nothing but the best for her 3 beautiful daughters and my condolences to her family. I love you Michelle<3

I give my sincere and deepest condolences to the Boccellari family. Michelle became my hairdresser 10 years ago and over those years also became my friend. She was kind, caring, considerate and loved her children more than life itself. May God bless and watch over those girls, as I know that Michelle will also. I will miss her dearly.

Michelle would occasionally cut my hair. She always asked how my son, who went to PVHS with her, was doing, and how his wife and daughter were. She would share with me her concerns and thoughts about a range of topics. She always made it clear how much she loved being a mother to all her children. She always showed me pictures of her children as they were growing up. I will miss her very much! May she rest in the arms of the Lord and await the day in the distant future when she will be reunited with her children.
