

Pauline H. Vandeburgt (Boonstra), 93 a Westwood resident since 1966 passed away on July 31, 2013 at her home. Pauline was born in Gemeente, Kesteren, The Netherlands and her and her husband Hendrik came to the US in 1952 and settled in Oradell, NJ. She was a teacher in her homeland of the Netherlands and was a talented artist along with her husband who was a stain glass designer and artist himself. They met in 1937 at the Art College where Hendrik was a professor and they married in 1945. Pauline was also an avid gardener who displayed her beautiful flowers and plants in her yard and was an excellent clothing designer and seamstress. She was predeceased by her husband, Hendrik in 2009; her daughter, Veritas Vandeburgt in 1997 and her grandson, Thomas Kilmurray in 2003. Pauline is survived by her daughters, Ancilla Vandeburgt, Rensje Laube and her husband Victor III and Frances Vandeburgt; her grandchildren, Christopher and his wife Brandy and Victor IV and six great grandchildren. A memorial mass will be offered on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at St. Mary’s Church, Closter, NJ at 11am.
