Richard Nicholas Goddin

Richard Nicholas, 86, a longtime resident of Hillsdale, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016.

Richard was a conscientious worker at Public Service Electric & Gas Co. before his retirement. He served honorably in World War II in the Army Air Corps, and was ever proud of being a veteran.

His lifelong passions were: fast cars (especially Corvettes), sports (especially NY Giants football and Mets baseball), snazzy dressing, cats and swing/Big Bang era music, particularly Frank Sinatra. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1562 in Westwood, NJ and enjoyed many happy times with his community of brothers there.

Richard was predeceased by his brother Conway. He leaves behind his beloved wife Toni (nee Pepe) and devoted daughter Lesley A. Goddin of Albuquerque, NM.

Services will be held Saturday at 11:15 am at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ. Private interment to follow.
