Robert “Bob” Joseph Moser lived a remarkable 98 years. He was born in St. Louis, MO and moved to NJ in the 1950's. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jane Moser; his four daughters, Connie Netherton, Carolyn Coviello, Adrienne Stephens, and Doreen Gurrola; and his eleven grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Bob spent his 30 year career as an airline pilot, serving as a captain for Eastern Airlines. He flew the Airbus A300 and retired at age 58 after a distinguished career in aviation. Outside the cockpit, Bob’s greatest passion was model trains. He was a longtime member of the New Jersey Live Steamers for over 60 years. He built and collected steam engines and spent countless hours running them with friends who shared his enthusiasm.
Bob will be remembered for his quick wit, his warm presence, and the many “Bobisms” that became beloved family sayings. His humor and wit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Church of the Presentation, Saddle River, NJ.
