"Ronnie", as I originally knew him, was my first "best friend" from early childhood (pre-school) until our mid 20's. Susan and Ron came to my graduation in VA from Officer's training with the USCG, and susan put on my new rank emblems. Ron and I camped together and grew up as close as brothers, and then some. 

I only just today become aware of his passing, and the children's names. None of the beautiful words I read in the many loving comments surprise me in the slighest. Ronnie was that kind of terrific and loyal friend, and anyone who knew him would easily see his excellent character.

My sincere condolences to Susan, Terry, Greg & Meghan Kiley. Your husband & father was one in a million. When I began working at Gaess Environmental in '73, Ron was the rock that I could lean on and trust. In the chaotic world of that time in the business, I found a true friend with a warm smile and the confidence to know he was there for you. A true gentleman and professional, he was also part of our extended family on holidays. We would look forward to his company always.

Our sincere condolences to the family.   I met Ron when I worked for Waste Management in Newark and found him to be a very sincere and helpful friend.  No matter what your problem, he was always there to help. It was also such a pleasure to enjoy his sense of humor.  We will miss you, Ron.

Ron had an impact on everyone who knew him. In my case Ron was one of the first people who greeted me when I joined Gaess Environmental Services in 1974 and he took me under his wing! I will never forget that experience during the early part of my adult life and career. A group of us including Ron have met for dinner every year during the past 15 years to keep the friendship going, our next gathering was set for next week.  We will all truly miss him, he was an extraordinary gentleman!

Raising our children side-by-side in their early years and beyond has given me pause to reflect on so many wonderful memories.  It has been far too easy to lose sight of life's gifts as we traveled our own paths; I trust Ron's passing will inspire our children to hold dear and nurture the bonds created.

So sorry to hear of Ron's passing.  It was my pleasure to work with Ron for more than 25 years at both CWM and FCI.  In addition to being a good and warm person, he was my mentor. I cannot begin to tell how much I learned from him.  I will miss him.

It is hard to find the words to express the sorrow many of us are feeling over the loss of Ron.  He was a wonderful friend, colleague and mentor.  He was someone I highly respected, could confide in, and learned a lot from.  He touched many lives with his kindness.  My condolences to all his family and friends.  He will be missed and never forgotten.  May he rest in peace.

Ron was one of the kindest people I have had the pleasure of knowing. I have known him nearly 40 years, worked for him for several years and have always enjoyed his company. He will be missed. May god Bless all those he has left behind, and those he loved the most. Floyd Campbell
