Sal hired me at Sherwin Williams 32 years ago (where I still work today) and was an extremely influential mentor in my young career.   As a leader Sal was tough but fair, and always a gentlemen.  As a person he was compassionate and friendly.  I learned a great deal from Sal about both business and life.  

One of the qualities I admired, respected, and appreciated most about Sal was that he would take time to “connect”.  He willingly invested in others and shared from his own life experiences.  

Sal had a significant and positive impact on my life, and I have always been grateful that I crossed paths with him.  For me it turned out to be life changing.  

My condolences to his family and friends. 

I knew Sal 20 odd years ago when we joined the Club and we played a few rounds of golf. Always a gentleman to someone who was learning the game.
Our paths crossed again 4 years ago when we bought the lot next to him and Bernadette to build our dream home. Sal, as a member of the Review Board, was instrumental in the approval of many of our Home/lot design requests. We are indebted to him.
They were nice folks!
Maria, sorry for your loss and now that we’re neighbors, maybe we’ll see each other as you walk your daughter and me my granddaughters.


Maria,  I am so sorry for your loss.  I know it has been a tough year for you!  I really loved and respected your father as we shared many commities in the community.  He was always the one who saw both sides and gave an very logical reason for his decisions.  He reminded me a lot of my dad in his calm, but charismatic way with people.  You had a terrific father and I know you will always miss him, but keep him in your heart. Remember, he made you the strong person you are today... He was so proud of you.
