

He was born in Naginey, PA to Beniamino & Maria DiCocco. Sal proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Gunners Mate Third Class. He was retired in 1989 as Vice President of Operations from J. Fletcher Creamer & Son Contractor, Hackensack, NJ.
Sal was the beloved husband of Gloria for 62 years. Loving father of Barbara Clare, husband Bill; Christine Hubinger, husband Mark; Jeffrey DiCocco, wife Barbara.
Cherished Pop Pop of Christopher, Andrew, Allison & Brendan Clare; Beniamino & Alexis DiCocco. Sal is also survived by his siblings, Teresa D’Angelo, (husband Dan deceased); Vera Magrino, husband Charlie; William DiCocco, (wife Jean deceased); & Leonora Ricciardelli, (husband Joseph deceased).
Sal loved his tomato plants, crossword puzzles, the NY Giants, playing the football pool & Hilton Head SC. But most of all he loved his family all around the table eating & laughing together.
The family will receive their relatives & friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood NJ on Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9PM. The funeral Mass celebrating the life & faith of Sal will be held at St. Andrew R.C. Church, Westwood, NJ on Friday at 10AM. Entombment will follow at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the 200 Club of Bergen County, 560 Hudson Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601 where Sal was a proud member for many years.
