

Thomas Alfred, 87 formerly of Paramus, NJ died Thursday, June 4, 2015 in Ridgewood, NJ. Born in New York City, NY he lived in Westwood before moving to Old Tappan 20 years ago and spent the past three years living in Paramus. Mr. Alaimo retired after having worked as a machinist in the tool and die industry for many years. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Pius X Church, Old Tappan and member of the River Vale Senior Club and was an active volunteer for both St. Andrew's and St. Pius X Church. He is predeceased by his wife of 48 years Angelina (nee Alonzo). He is survived by his son Salvatore P. Alaimo and his wife Wenjing He, his brother Louis P. Alaimo and his wife Agatha, his sister-in-law Anna Adessa, his brother-in-law Jack Alonzo and his wife Virginia, one niece and ten nephews. A memorial gathering will be held at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 1-3PM. Sharings of his life will begin at 1:30PM followed by Military honors at 2:00PM and a religious service at 2:30PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Valley Hospital Foundation, 223 North Van Dien Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450-2736 in his memory.
