

True Jordan, née, Bozman, Praise The Lord, at the age of 92 was born into eternal life on Tuesday, April 28 of natural causes at her home in Montvale. She was predeceased by her husband of over fifty years Michael Jordan, who passed 14 years ago.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1927, she was the daughter of Mary Delong Bozman of Atlanta, Georgia and William Bozman of Kent County, Delaware. She and her family including three sisters eventually, moved to Cliffside Park, New Jersey , where she met Michael. They both attended and graduated from Cliffside Park High School. She worked as a dental assistant after high school, until they were married. Thereafter, she was a homemaker.
She and Michael were devout Roman Catholics. True belonged to the Marian Guild in Epiphany Church in Cliffside Park. When the family moved to Woodcliff Lake, and joined Our Lady Of Mercy Church in Park Ridge in 1968. The family moved to Montvale in 1977. True taught confirmation classes for many years. She also volunteered in the Religious Education program and was a catechist for grade 6. Up until about a year ago she lead the Family of God prayer community at OLM. She and Michael were also involved in Cursillo retreats. As part of the Charismatic Movement in the Catholic Church they traveled to local parishes to teach courses in the Baptism in The Holy Spirit. True belonged to the Associates of the Sisters of Saint Lucy Filippini and conducted many meetings with these ladies in her home. She and this group planned many fun activities for the retired sisters at the mother house in Morristown NJ. True spent many years doing spiritual counseling and uplifting the lives of many parishioners, family members and friends. She was the one many called on when sad, frightened and sick , for her support.
Her main hobby was art. She used her talents doing portraits and paintings for all our homes. She took in statues from many churches and painted and refurbished them. She made banners for her church and many others. Was pivotal in organizing Easter Baskets for Parish Shut-ins by accepting donations from local businesses and parishioners to fill them with candy and treats. She had a tremendous hand and eye coordination and over the years made countless silhouettes of family and friends. She ran arts and crafts during summer bible camp sessions for many years. She made costumes for all our family reunion variety shows. Mostly, she made memories. One of her favorite things was spending time with her family which included all her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She greatly enjoyed her many vacations with family to Wildwood Crest and especially buying all her grandchildren and great grandchildren ice cream from the Fudgie-Wudgie man on the beach.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and two sisters Alice and Portia. She is survived by her sister Nancy of Las Vegas, NV, her three daughters Ivy Tulin and her husband Michael of Warwick, NY, Amy Ballanco and her husband Jeffrey of Montvale NJ and Mary Guccione and her husband Roger of Suffern NY, 10 grandchildren Gina Lien of Warwick, NY, Laura Tino of Warwick NY, Jennifer Kavanagh of Hillsdale, NJ, Daniel Ballanco of Tinton Falls, NJ, John Ballanco of Holmdel, NJ, April Brewer of Crofton MD, Melinda Ballanco of Montvale, NJ, Timothy Guccione of Suffern NY, Benjamin Guccione of Suffern, NY and Kristen Guccione of Suffern NY and 11 great grandchildren Patrick Lien, Isabella Tino, Austin Tino, Nora Kavanagh, Darcy Kavanagh, Hailey Ballanco, Ryan Ballanco, Bryn Ballanco, Sadie Ballanco, Jake Ballanco and Natalie Brewer
Due to the current pandemic a private funeral service will take place for limited family members. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in the future.
